Hi and thanks for stopping by. It’s been an incredibly busy August, with September and October already shaping up to be exciting months too. It’s with great pride that I can update you on the projects we currently have in post production, what’s just been finished and where the team will be over the next month.
In August the webvid team did a few location shoots – for Haymarket Publishing (PR Week Awards), Metropolis Publishing (Frontier & Packaging News Awards) and a rather cool Kickstarter video for….well I can’t say – just yet! We have also been in post production on an extensive marketing pack for Seriously Sofas, which will beef up Ruth & Andrew’s new website (which we are currently building) and allow the team to email real life examples of their products to potential customers. Really innovative approach. We have also started pre-production of the showcase video for the Kingston Excellence Awards – which will be held in October 2013 and produced a private video for a high net worth client that had a James Bond twist. Phew, lots of stuff!
On the slab at the moment is one of the most exciting commissions we’ve had, an animation explainer video for ’10 Minutes With’ – a brilliant new start up that connects Students and Companies through the power of learning. webvid’s lead animator, Vince North, is in charge of bringing their company to life with cool visuals and funky animation. It’s a project he’s relishing and enjoying immensely. Web video animations are a big part of what we do at webvid, but because of the intense nature of the production – we can only take on one project every 6 weeks. The results are amazing and really helps companies provide a customer facing video that simply explains their concept.
We have various edits ongoing for Kickstarter projects, as we rank very highly for ‘Kickstarter Video Production’ in google. (It’s almost on a daily basis that I receive emails from companies that want to invest in a super slick video to help with their pitch.) We are also editing for Haymarket and Metropolis, with projects to be delivered in the next few weeks. On the pure web side of our business, we are still in development of a new wordpress install for an events company based in Malta.
Coming up… The team will be out filming the showcase videos for the AIM, Independent Music Awards (produced by Crying Out Loud), The HAA awards at the Royal Kensington Gardens, People Management Awards & C&IT Awards – plus we’ll be producing the judging video for the Kingston Excellence Awards. Again, lots going on!
So far webvid has been purely built on word of mouth and the quality of our completed projects – that excites me. The enquires we have had recently and the quotes we have out to tender are also an indication that our clear, concise communication with our clients is something that really stands out.
Before I get back to the studio I do want to quickly touch on the ‘Kickstarter’ and crowd funding videos that we have become very well known for. The trend for a ‘stylised’, cinematic-look is huge at the moment and it’s a style we are very well versed in. This week I have visited a few bluechip companies in London that wanted to meet to discuss how this ‘look’ could be used for a company overview video. Everybody seems to want it – and we very much enjoy and understand how to produce and deliver it. The reason why I believe webvid is the very best at this niche video production is because of our extensive experience at making the people who’ll be in the video, feel at ease with being ‘on camera’. This is a very unnatural process for many, so our techniques for drawing out the information that’s needed for the narrative, is one of our main priorities. This mixed with our colour grading expertise, audio integration and graphical elements – fuse together to produce an awesome video. This super charges the funding and shows you are professional with your proposition. That versus a smartphone, ‘filmed yourself’, production – well it’s no contest. So if you are thinking about a video production of this style, give me or my team a call and we can talk you through the costs and time scales.
Have a great day (wherever you are in the world) and thanks again for keeping up to date with webvid’s progress!
